We recently completed a stunning outdoor installation for an interior design client, transforming their pool and cabana area into a luxurious oasis. Here’s a look at the project, from concept to completion.
Understanding the Client’s Vision
Our client envisioned a serene and sophisticated space that would serve as both a retreat and a gathering place. They wanted the area to reflect their personal style while providing comfort and functionality.
Planning and Design
Space Assessment:
We started by evaluating the pool area and cabana, taking note of the available space, sunlight exposure, and existing landscape features.
Design Elements:
The client desired a seamless blend of timeless elegance and natural beauty. We focused on selecting materials and furniture that would harmonize with the environment while offering durability and style.
Furniture Selection
Lounge Zone:
We installed sleek, weather-resistant chaise lounges around the pool, perfect for sunbathing. Each lounge was paired with a small side table for convenience.
Dining Area:
Next to the cabana, we placed two large dining tables with comfortable, cushioned chairs to create a grand effect. This setup allows for hosting outdoor dining, providing a cozy yet elegant atmosphere.
Cabana:
A set of plush outdoor sofas and armchairs, complete with throw pillows, created an inviting space for conversation and relaxation.
Accessorizing the Space
Outdoor Rugs:
We used vibrant outdoor rugs to define different zones and add warmth to the space.
Lighting:
To create a magical ambiance for evening gatherings, we installed gas-lit copper lanterns sourced directly from Europe
Planters and Greenery:
Large planters with lush, tropical plants were used to enhance the natural aesthetic and add privacy.
Client Collaboration
Throughout the process, we maintained open communication with the client, ensuring that every detail aligned with their vision. Their input was invaluable in creating a space that truly felt like home.
The Finished Product
The completed installation exceeded expectations, transforming the client’s outdoor area into a dream retreat. The combination of functional design and aesthetic appeal created a perfect balance, inviting relaxation and enjoyment.

Previously a Family Dollar store, we had our work cut out for us to transform the space from Dollar Store Bargain to Design Showroom Heaven.
At our new location, we wanted to create a space that was functional enough to organize our inventory but also granted us the creative freedom to change the layout of the store.
We achieved this in a variety of different ways:
Lined the perimeter walls with custom adjustable built-in shelves with lower cabinets for back-stock storage
Created a spacious wrap-around counter with brick detailing to expand our registers and gift-wrapping offerings
Installed new oak flooring and painted the ceiling a rich charcoal color to elevate the space in a fresh, new way
Added gorgeous touches such as butcher block countertops, gold sconces, leather handles, and amazing sliding library ladders for easy access to our products
Part of our expansion included allocating plenty of room for our design room. As you enter the Design Room, you’re greeted with gorgeous brick arches that pull you into the space. We installed lower cabinets to store our design tools alongside the gorgeous custom cabinetry for fabric samples. These tools are beautifully displayed in a space that fosters creativity and inspiration for clients and our team.

Jewelry for cabinets from our two hardware lines
An array of wallpaper styles
We allocated an extra 1,000 square feet of floor space to create an additional storage room adjacent to the existing back workroom to house our inventory. We completely transformed the back room to create extra office space, kitchenette and breakroom, and an expanded bathroom for guests. We finished off the exterior with a fresh coat of paint and new signage that can be spotted from a mile away!
